We do have Yucca. It’s very Peruvian, also in the Amazonia you have these roots. You cook them but it really has to be perfect because they are a little boring and you shouldn’t overcook them. It doesn’t need much, it just needs some salt. The only thing is, you have to cook it the right amount because it’s slightly toxic. You can taste it, it has a slightly bitter taste. If you cook it the right amount you know it’s not toxic anymore.

Für die Intervention „Incident by HC“ realisiert das Kollektiv in der Ausstellung „To Lie in the Cheese, to Smile in the Butter“ (09. September – 15.

HC’s understanding of the collective is that of an open field that can be fertilized in order to reach new forms of synthesis. For their intervention "Incident by HC", they will add a number of changes to the exhibition "To Lie in the Cheese, to Smile in the Butter" (09 September – 15 November) for the duration of one evening. While serving a drink and finger food made of parts of Cocos and Yucca palm trees, they include the artworks on display into their own system of titling. While temporarily appropriating the other works in the show, HC obscures and invades both the idea of the singular author and the intimate sphere of the artworks' realm. Their installation of palm trees throughout the show alludes to Marcel Broodthaers' installation "L'Entrée de l'Exposition" – a crucial work in the collective's making – and aims to blur the lines between artwork, prop and domestic decor.
